Is there a difference?
Hello guys it's your girl Cynthia....For those who don't know me I have just recently started on studying the LOA after actually having good things happen to me while using the Law Of Attraction kind of unknowingly....Basically I knew that I wanted something and set my mind into telling myself that it would be mine (both material things and things that I wanted to happen) and in the end I acheived it! So I started researching the power Of LOA and I LOVE it....
Now something else that I am interested in is Meditation and I was able to find a free course on-line with a course called the Silva Ultra Mind Sysyem by Jose Silva.......However this Dr states that unlike other teachings where we are told that we can have anything happen through the power of our minds he dissagrees and states that in reality we all have a reason for being on Earth and that we first have to find what that reason is and then use our minds to fullfill it....He states that not everybody was put on this earth to be rich and so on........I do understand that society has raised us to believe this,it's what I have heard all my life "We all have a reason for being here even before we were born" but it is hard to believe that I cannot change and decide what I want my outcome to be.................I would love to pick the minds of my fellow members on this site. I believe it's a great moment for me to learn more on the difference between the LOA and what we have been told about our lives already being predestined.....Thanks!

Free yourself from the good opinion of others... By all means if you like his meditation technique then use it but that doesn't mean you have to believe his opinion or philosophy. I agree with him on one thing...we do have a purpose and when you find that and align yourself with it then I think things like income fall into place but the difference is that you aren't attached to things, they just happen naturally when you engage in the flow of life instead of struggling against it in pursuit of external things to find your bliss. You already are it...

If you believe all will come to you! Perhaps those who don't have success it's because they truly didn't 110% believe? My husband harrasses me and says just because you think you're a bird and can fly doesn't mean it will happen, but contrare I submit the wright brothers as exhibit #1!!!!

Some may opine, everything is planned, we are just instruments in the hands of almighty. However, we can prove it wrong. If we change our attitude, we can transform the whole world. Atleast the things around U would change for the best.
Meditation is the process - u please yr mind, boost energy, charge your eternal batteries. U can observe the things are geting better and better for U.
On the contrary, if u fully believe Lives are predestined. Just live the life as it comes. There are bound to be changes in life.

I honestly believe that you can only do what you believe you can do.
So if you believe you can achieve anything - you have the opportunity to do so.
If you believe that you cannot achieve, like this guy, and are pre-determined to a specific destiny, then that is what you will achieve.
I have a problem with this guy's theory, specifically, because it removes all personal responsibility and motivation in your life...
I "get" that I'm in this body (with extra pounds!) for a reason, but is it enough that I assume that is the be all and end all? Or do I try to find a deeper meaning in this, and nestle it in some higher goals as well?
