- About Me:
- I was born in Philadelphia but spent the majority of my childhood and adult life in Atlanta. I married young and gave birth to seven beautiful children. I think, like a lot of women, I lost myself under the labels of wife and mother. But at the end of a 26 year marriage I found myself when I found writing. The moment I sat down with a pen and a spiral notebook, (because we were too poor to own a computer,) I knew I'd found my passion. When I'm writing I'm happy. When I'm writing I'm fulfilled.
That first little love story I began in that notebook, turned into many notebooks. I had no idea when I began that story I'd have an epic. Those notebooks translated into 1500 typed pages! At the time I knew nothing about the publishing industry, so when I approached a publisher with my giant manuscript I was extremely indignant when they laughed at me. Heck, I was thinking people would be getting a real deal... so much book for their money! LOl. That happened several years ago.
When I became a member of the Georgia Romance Writers I told them about my original giant manuscript. An author who was speaking to the group about getting their novels finished encouraged them to write just five pages a day. Then she pointed her finger at me. "Except you," she said sternly. "You take away five pages a day. Unfortunately not all are as prolific as you."
I did what she said. I took away, and took away and finally had it down to 500 pages, still too long for a first novel. Many writing classes and seminars and discussion groups later, I moved on to another story. And being prolific, another story, and another and another...you get the picture. I've now written six novels and am working on the 7th. I have a small readership and many loyal fans but I still haven't been able to land an agent yet. Therefore....let me begin right this moment with this affirmation...Hi, my name is McCartney Green and I am a #1 bestselling author!!!!~

I would like to cordially invite you to my Tea Party Sunday 14, 2008 at 4:00p.m. (tea time).
This year I shall speak on the topic of:
a. Enlightenment
b. Directing Creative Energy
c. Masterful Philosophy
Since that Sunday is the beginning of the Full Moon cycle after talks, there shall be prayers and devotions followed by light entertainments with music and dancing.
The event is FREE in the spirit of assuring ONENESS but if you have to travel to get here, accommodations will have to be arranged at your own discretion.
The Event shall be recorded, so if you would like a CD or DVD of the days events, it shall be made available at the start December at the price of 8 euro for Cd’s and 12 euro for DVD’s.
I am looking forward to seeing you there, every year it proves to be most enjoyable and impressionable event.
