My thoughts for today...
You know how if you practice piano for one day and during that day you get really good, but the next day it's almost like your progress reverses? Well basically that's what it feels like with the ability to
a. focus your mind on only what you want
b. visualizing your desired appearance
There is only one solution however: keep going. It gets way easier! Do NOT get hopeless and quit before you achieve your goal. Your mind is a muscle you have to train. Except it's the most important muscle and with it you can achieve anything. And unfortunately many of us give up before ever getting to a point where we are focused enough to override our subconscious beliefs regarding our current, undesired appearance. Especially those of us who really dislike our current appearance (like me) and have a lot of resistance. The ego wants to focus on the negative and you have to whip that thing into submission every day until it learns what you want it to learn.
So far every day when I wake up, I have to put in a lot of mental effort to "connect" with the reality of my desired appearance BUT less than the morning of the previous day (but more than the evening of the previous day) - if that makes sense.
Dedicate at least 5 minutes to "connecting" with the reality where your desired appearance exists. That means telling yourself and really believing that reality is infinite and your desired appearance already exists somewhere as a possibility, then "stepping into" that reality mentally. It's pretty much the only visualization exercise that works for me consistently. The other ones I struggle with. I read the first post of this thread (the one where I found Natalie's method initially) every single day http://www.powerlawofattraction.com/forum/index.php?topic=8337.0 and I use the knowledge of that information to help my visualization. I imagine the reality I want superimposed on top of the one I'm experiencing and simply give more attention to it.
if you feel a negative emotion, it means you are focusing on negative/undesired thought(s). Whether you are aware or unaware of it, figure what that thought is and pivot to the thought of what you want. Doesn't just have to be physical appearance, could be anything. What you will realize is how much your mind produces negative thoughts each day (I'm realizing it now how negative I tend to be!). Do it for yourself and you'll be shocked how much your mind is addicted to negativity.
"if you can conceive it, and believe it, it's yours."
Guess what? If you can conceive it (your desired appearance) - the possibility of it exists RIGHT NOW. The reason why it may take time to "have it" is believing it takes mental effort (which in our perception of reality, is something that happens through time)
Just to let people know, I don't expect noticeable changes right now, or any time before the 21 day mark. So if you want to skip ahead until then, feel free too. Or if you want to follow along the whole time, that's great as well. These journals are mainly for me to document my journey and help anyone out. I gave up before and I'm not willing to do that anymore.
Btw I WILL be taking after pics when I get results! And of course I have before pics right now.
(sorry for posting this late, I slept earlier than usual yesterday)
end of day 4

Thanks for the suggestions, ChimeraComplex! I agree with you on visualization, there's easier and harder ways to do it. But whatever is easier for you, consistency is the most important thing.
Hey shinysara,
Just wanted to thank you for sharing your journal and I hope this thanks motivates you to keep it up. I have a few ideas to support yours. I have found that "connecting" to your desired reality is key and can be gauged by how easy it is to visualize and feel at one with your desired physical appearance. I have also found it easiest to imagine a celebrity that I feel similar to. I don't know why this works, but it seems easier to imagine their body overlaid on mine. Another one is scanning down the body in meditation/visualization moving through all the features from the top of your head to the bottom, imagining yourself with the celebrity body as if their body is yours. Then the visualizing an activity (walking along the beach etc. or going to the pool because you feel confident) will be easier.
My problem is that I haven't been consistent with them, but I believe these ideas are intuitively the easiest. I have also been doing Johanna's feeling method, which I think may be synergistic with your efforts. Here are the links:
