My Success Story on Weight

Hi everyone!

I've posted a few threads before on wanting to lose weight. I have achieved some success and wanted to share! I have been doing a program based on Quantum weight loss by Patricia Bisch. I have been training my mind over and over again that my metabolism is perfect and speeding up and releasing weight. On the program you have to test yourself for 2 weeks and eat whatever you want and based on your mental focus, see how you should not gain weight again. I tried it the first time after reading the book in one week. I do not recommend it lol, you really have to program your mind to BELIEVE it. I ended up gaining 5 pounds in 2 weeks but that to me was still partially a success. I normally would have gained 10-12 pounds eating the way I did!

I had a few more personal consultations and after a few months I tried it again for one week. I gained .8 of a pound. Not even one pound. I will admit I still had doubts and fears, which is what prevented my 100% success. I tried it again for 5 days and I gained .4 of a pound. So every time I try I would be more and more successful.

I challenged my body to eat whatever I wanted and lose 2 pounds for one week. I weighed myself and I had not gained any weight or lost any weight. 

Long story short, you have to completely TRUST in yourself and BELIEVE in yourself to succeed. I know I have not lost the weight I have wanted to but I have been able to speed up my metabolism eating more and not exercising at all.

I know I am on the path to my perfect body weight! If I can eat whatever I want and not gain weight, surely with more focus I can lose it! I just have to keep trusting in the universe and know it is mine already. :)

Anyone have any experience with this?

  • Congrats on your weight loss. I love to read success stories! I lost 35lbs myself on the Body For Life program. I'm believing my metabolism will quicken too. I feel it has gotten a lot better than what it used to be. Continuing on my journey to lose another 25lbs.

  • you're welcome! I'm glad I can help. I am not going to lie, I get doubts and fears, but having proven to myself that my mind alone can speed my metabolism has helped tremendously. I have also been reading the book "Freedom From Food" and that has a whole list of tools explaining how food is just energy (everything is) and how the body is meant to heal itself. I keep telling myself what I want to know as true and reminding myself of all the success stories of others.

    It's all about trust, trust, trust! trust in the universe, trust in the body.

    • thank you adm!it's funny cos after I posted, I realised that only domesticated animals were obese! probably our vibe.

      Now what I wonder is, ok it's about energy and food is energy but is there really no limit to what your body can take?

      I'm really having a tough time at the moment knowing what belief I want to stick to: either that I can eat what I want when I want and my body will deal with it, OR deal with that part of me who wants to overeat and eat more healthily and better for my body's needs.

      because every day I have belly aches, I dont digest what I eat, I tend to overeat probably to compensate and I don't think this is right somehow, meaning, it doesnt work for me but maybe it doesnt because I find it hard to believe it could work, but it's not just about weight, it's also my body's ability to digest it all. dont know if that makes sense..

    • Well if you have food intolerances or allergies, you should definitely check in with a doctor or  specialist and make sure you get that figured out first. 

      Do not over eat if you don't believe in it 100% or it won't work for you. You really have to work up to the belief with lots of mental "workouts." Eventually you will start to fear food less and less. But if you think you can't digest well because of a certain food, you should definitely see an expert with that!

      And yes, since it is just energy the body should be able to release anything as long as you TRUST it to.

    • yes I guess what I meant was that, for example, animals in the wild dont overeat, they eat until they're hungry and that's it, they dont crave for junk food etc so of course they maintain a normal weight somehow. my cat is obese also because she eats all day long , well she lives with my mum and my mum keeps feeding her so there must be a limit that the body can take in terms of quantity.

      I do have intolerances but these tests are not reliable so dont know what to think. and basically whatever I eat I'm bloated so now I'm more focused on changing my beliefs regarding food, I'll stick to my current belief which is eating because of hungry and dont stuff my face because of emotion and it's ok to have sugar now and then etc and it worked but then I slipped.. anyway I'm back on track with this. I need to go back to that abe thread food and loa!

    • I think that is an important point,Mimi: animals in the wild eat when they're hungry and stop when they're full. Where as domestic animals get all those little "treats" and "dog chocolates" etc. I think that has a lot to do with it.

      I personally feel that we can eat more or less what we want,when we want (even sweets and "junk" food) as long as we pay attention to our hunger and fullness signals.

    • an healing energy coach who's into LOA told me during a session that our bodies are energy and they can process food and it's ok to have pizzas etc, however he said that it's better to eat when hungry and implied that you can't eat 3 pizzas for a meal and remain thin. so basically you can eat what you want when you want, that's not an issue but to me, what can be an issue is when you are a bulimic for example or when you eat when not hungry on a consistant manner but of course that is my belief!

      I feel our body are energy but they also work better if you give them good food and the right amount for your needs. excessive eating caused by emotions are not necessarily good but I could be wrong, like I said that's just how I see it. what I'm tying to figure out is what is for me eating when I'm hungry and what I want as my eating habits are erratic.
