starting LOA...what are the basics?
I learned about LOA years ago and have attempted to do it but haven't been that successful!I would like to learn how to practice and master the LOA. I would love to know some ppls techniques and see what works best!!!Thank youJess

Pick either one up and flip through the table of contents. Then the other and then read the one you are drawn to. Myself I started with The Vortex although I did read excerpts and watched a ton of video's on youtube. If you get a chance go to abelive one saturday. Check out their webpage for the next one. Amazingly good. And it being live video feed is so fun. You can feel your vibration raising. At least that's been my experience.
If it were me and it's not it's you but your asking me so I'm gonna say if it were me I'd start with Ask and It Is Given. Mostly because I know it's got almost all the processes in it and they are the very best thing you can ever learn from Abe. The ones that are not in there, "go general" and "the grid" are simply: If you're feeling bad as you think about something, back off of it. Think about something else that generally makes you feel good or think about the subject that is making you feel bad from a broader perspective like: My lover left me feels bad but maybe the idea of a lover feels good.
The second one, the grid. It's just a general grid of how you want to feel. Like mine is "steady, stable, sure and secure" and it's been my grid for several months now. I generally feel steady, stable, sure and secure so now I've added abundant, healthy, happy, creative and talented. But you have your own.
Lastly whatever you begin to read, write stuff down. Write in a notebook or on the newspaper or anywhere you want. But writing the processes and what you are discovering about you, really helps solidify it.
And mostly have fun with it!

There are several threads here in PI that give examples of most of the processes.
pss if you can just reach for good feeling thoughts to take over the not so good feeling thoughts that;s positive law of attraction in a nutshell.

We want you to imagine a grid and the only thing you do with it is find emotions that feel good. You don't try to imagine your practice, you don't try to imagine the people that will come. That was a sort of scripting process that we talked about years ago, and that's 'goal setting' that a lot of people talk about. That's specifics that you don't want to get into right now.
Hear this: it's the most powerful grid statement that we're ever going to make to you. We don't want you to try to fill the grid in at all. We don't want you to apply any specifics to the grid. We want you to create an emotional grid and trust that the Universe will fill in the specifics. Get it?
Through life, you've put a lot of specifics into your Vortex and those specifics will be the ones that fill in, we promise you.
