  • My name is Jo Ann I have raised 2 fabulous sons and have a beautiful grand-daughter, and lovely in laws. I consider parenting to be the most important job on the planet and in our culture the least valued. This tool helped me so much I just want to share it here.
How many of you have found "The Virtues Project", or read "The Virtues Guide" this one is by a Canadian couple (Popov's) and transformed my parenting skills and changed so much more for all of us, it is such a blessing I just want to share the info, I can get their first book at my local library, if this can help just one person it will be good, Blessings to us all

  • Hello--I haven't visited here in quite some time.

But after the contrast that I have been recently experiencing with my kids--I am SO ready to Parent from Souce!!! :)
  • Great day today, Fabulous Friday.
I wondered on to a site yesterday that is so
inspirational and helpful for parenting from source.
Check it out and let me know what you think.
He has so many amazing videos to view.
I am not selling anything just sharing something wonderful.
  • I don't have kids, but I am blessed to work with them,
    I love my little class.
I spilled some little blocks, manipulatives, and with no asking or verbal prompts, the two children who were right by me, on their own started helping me pick up the little pieces. I was really touched by that, four year olds, I of course said thank you, and told them they were amazing people.

I have a student who is does not want to participate, and because I am not the boss of that, he has to comply
and I have tried so many different things, I don't know how to help him
I can't blame him for not wanting to conform, but he has to in this setting,
follow the rules... he is mostly a loner,
  • yay 4 moms!
  • I just wanted to express my appreciation for all the wonderful members of this group and all the great discussions that have been created here. I feel deeply honored.
    :) Kirsten
  • "The most important thing that you can teach your children is that Well-being abounds. And that Well-being is naturally flowing to them. And that if they will relax and reach for thoughts that feel good, and do their best to appreciate, then they will be less likely to keep the Well-being away, and more likely to allow it to flow into their experience. Teach them the art of allowing."

  • My amazing friend Louis suggested that I post this because, as he points out, it is sooo important for everyone. This came to me from an amazing parenting/life coach who has inspired me beyond measure. It was written by Scott Noelle, like me, a parenting life coach, and his audience is comprised of parents; however, this, as with all his writing, really speaks to everyone and anyone, regardless of age, station, or obligation. Here it is:

THE DAILY GROOVE ~ by Scott Noelle

:: You "Should" Follow Your Bliss! ::

Imagine a world with no shame and blame -- where
    it's impossible to be "bad."

Imagine a world where people can stumble, make
mistakes, and sometimes even hurt each other, but
    they are never deemed "wrong."

Errors are noticed, and course-corrections are made,
but blame and shame never enter the picture.

In this imaginary world, the word *should* is
obsolete. Think about it: the force behind any
"should" is almost always fear of being judged
    (which includes self-judgment).

So, in our shame- and blame-free world, "should" has
no teeth, and you're free to follow your bliss.

Fortunately, the things that *really* matter to you --
    like contributing to your children's well-being --
feel blissful when you do them, so you *want* to do
    them. No "shoulding" is required.

Today, pretend your world is free of blame and
shame, so you have no reason ever to "should on
yourself." Start following your bliss and soon
    you won't be pretending anymore.

Feel free to forward this message to your friends!
(Please include this paragraph and everything above.)

Spiritual Books for Childrens Learning

Has anyone read any of the spriritual books for children? I have recently been reading Doreen Virtue's 'Thank you Angels', Louise Hays The Adventures of Lulu, Deepak Chopras "you with the stars in your eyes" and Wayne Dyers "No Excuses". Wayne especially is a fantastic writer and these books are great to teach children about universal laws and spirituality. Does anyone have any other recommendations?

sharing a little fun news!

I just wanted to share a little good news. We do "open enrollment" in our school district and I looked at about 7 schools and just fell in love with a public montessori school here in Boulder. Apparently, it's very hard to get into for kindergarten (because it has a preschool that fills the kindergarten). I just didn't let those thoughts get much airtime and focused on how much the whole family loved it and how it is such a good fit. And we got a spot in the first lottery this week! And we got…

Book "The Vortex" - Parent/Child relationships

I have been dreaming about a book that talks specifically to parenting in regards to LOA. Well, Abraham-Hicks new book is pretty close. Has anyone else read it yet? I'm onto my last chapter. There is a chapter just about parent/child relationships which I will need to read again (and again...) b/c it's hard for me to get it. The idea that I'm not supposed to "control" them or be in charge. Haha! But the whole book has tidbits of great information that can relate to parent/child relationships. I…

Would love your help!

Hello Everyone! My name is Tina Vanderbyl. To introduce myself, I am a mom of three children, and a Law of Attraction enthusiast. To say that I enjoy writing would be an understatement; it's more like my passion as I have been doing it for years. I have completed my first children's picture book and am in the middle of creating my second. I have knowledge in basic child psychology, meaning I am just a curious mom who wanted a better understanding of the little people that I had brought into the…
