Hey Everyone, 

I just wanted to see if anyone could give me any pointers on meditation. I've always been skeptical about it but I never tried it. But that was the old me, the new me wants to jump into it and meditate away. So how do I start?

  • I would start slowly and not try to do 15 minutes or more unless you are comfortable with that. In the beginning most people get restless because they are always on the go and the mind travels at fast speeds and all over the place. That is why I recommend starting slowly so that you don't get frustrated and give up. Five minutes is good to start.

    Find a quiet place, take a few deep breaths. Close your eyes and just concentrate on your breath. Your mind will drift and when it does its OK just bring your thoughts back to your breathing.

    There is no wrong way of doing this. You can listen to soothing music if that helps. Its best to have quiet though.
