Athena's singing videos Enchanted Factory Space

I will just start with the last three I put on the main forum but I WILL be doing more in the future.

I'm especially pleased with this on the whole so it's up to you whether you want to see this first or save the best till last!  Hope you enjoy these.

This is me singing Black Velvet by Alannah Myles.  I was going to sing it at "rockaoke" one Friday night but another girl beat me to it! So here's MY singing of Black Velvet:  And by the way I DID get to sing it at ANOTHER kareoke venue & if I may say so it went well & was fun to perform!

This is an older one but as I wasn't so sure about it, I didn't share it right

away:

Bring me to life by Evanescene (me singing)

This is me singing U2's With or Without You.  I had it down for one of my

songs for that rockaoke that night & so as that girl sang Black Velvet

before me, I tried to sing this the best I could when I sang it "live" and think it

went well.

(I went back to rockaoke - you sing mainly rock songs with a live

band - last night & sang I am the one and only by Chesney Hawk and

Bad Company's Can't Get Enough Of Your Love - though I forgot a lot of

his ad lib parts! oh well mostly it was fine AND it was a nice surprise when

to wrap things up they called up 4 of us to the stage to sing Queen's

Bohemian Rhapsody, which I love but it's a group effort, definitely! So that was

fun AND I got to dance to other people's songs & they even played a couple of

great reggae tunes during their breaks: last time they played "You don't love me"

by Grace Jones and THIS time they played a reggae version of "Upside Down" I THINK Dianna Ross sings the original?

I love BOTH versions and they played "I can't stand losing you" (originally by

The Police I THINK.)  That one is a bit dark but the reggae version sounded GREAT!

AND one more thing to report!  At another kareoke place, another time, the KJ (kareoke

jockey) LOVED the song it was UB40's version of "Can't Help Falling In Love WIth

You" and he has a GREAT voice but he NEVER or RARELY singst there and he joined in! (with my permission!  But when I sang a duet with this other guy he has a great voice but they did NOT

highlight which was the male or female or both parts so we had to nudge each other and go "Your turn!" and we just laughed about it later!

  • Hi!

Thanks for that wonderful rendition of such a soaring piece! :D

The way you handled the embellishments was especially enjoyable.

I associate this song with WBAI public radio in New York and the amazing journalist Amy Goodman. Used to hear this song almost every day before Democracy Now.

Interesting idea doing this in the car. Keep putting out that awesome energy! <3

    Sunshine & Blessings,

  • Latest video.  It's definitely not perfect but there are some good bits and it's a really beautiful and powerful, uplifting song:
