Chakra meditationGetting you in the mood to write, relaxed and open.Find a comfortable place to sit or lie. Close your eyes. Take some deep breaths.Become aware of your body from head to toe, of your weight, of the heaviness of your limbs.Imagine a shaft of light extending from the base of your spine into the earth and travelling into the centre of the earth. Breath in deep red light and breathe out any negative things that you may be holding inside you. Do this for a few times.Now imagine that there are roots growing from the bottom of your feet and growing into the earth. You are now securely anchored into the ground.Next extend the shaft from the base of your spine into the heavens and breath in pure white light and breathe out any negative things that you may be holding inside you. Do this for a few times.You should now be feeling relaxed.Starting with the root chakra, place your hands at the bottom of your hips, and focus on the area at the base of the spine, the area between your legs.The colour of the root chakra is red. Focus on the chakra. What does it look like or feel like. Imagine a large red swirling circle over your root chakra, see if there are any dark areas, in your minds eye clear them away until you see clean clear red circle.Take a few deep breaths and now move onto your sacral chakra.Place your hands on your abdomen, to the area of the “womb.”The colour of the sacral chakra is orange. Focus on the chakra. What does it look like or feel like. Imagine a large orange swirling circle over your sacral chakra, see if there are any dark areas, in your minds eye clear them away until you see clean clear orange circle.Take a few deep breaths and move your hands up to your solar plexus chakra.Place your hands on your stomach.The colour of the solar plexus chakra is yellow. Focus on the chakra. What does it look like or feel like. Imagine a large yellow swirling circle over your solar plexus chakra, see if there are any dark areas, in your minds eye clear them away until you see clean clear yellow circle.Take a few deep breaths.Now turn your attention to the middle of your chest, to the heart chakra, the green (or pink) chakra. Place your hands here. Take a few deep breaths.The colour of the heart chakra is green or pink. Focus on the chakra. What does it look like or feel like. Imagine a large green or pink swirling circle over your heart chakra, see if there are any dark areas, in your minds eye clear them away until you see clean clear green or pink circle.Take a few deep breaths.Now focus on the throat, place your hands here. Take a few deep breaths.The colour of the throat chakra is blue. Focus on the chakra. What does it look like or feel like. Imagine a large blue swirling circle over your throat chakra, see if there are any dark areas, in your minds eye clear them away until you see clean clear blue circle.Take a few deep breaths.Now focus on the middle of your forehead, the third eye. Place your hands here. Take a few deep breaths.The colour of the third eye chakra is indigo. Focus on the chakra. What does it look like or feel like. Imagine a large indigo swirling circle over your third eye chakra, see if there are any dark areas, in your minds eye clear them away until you see clean clear indigo circle.Take a few deep breaths.Now focus your attention at the crown of your head. Place your hands here and take a few deep breaths.The colour of the crown chakra is violet. Focus on the chakra. What does it look like or feel like. Imagine a large violet swirling circle over your crown chakra, see if there are any dark areas, in your minds eye clear them away until you see clean clear violet circle.Take a few deep breaths.All your chakras are now clean, charged and in balance.Now mentally go back down through your chakras and imagine a flower closing and close each one.Take a few deep breathes choose a colour that you like and breathe it out all around you, imagine you are cocooned in beautiful light.When you feel ready open your eyes.You are completely refreshed, calm, and peaceful.Your energy is balanced. Except it was tricky to un-imagine the darkness so maybe I'd just rather visualise thr circles, not sure.

Thank you so much for this,Athena. :-)) My mother is a writer and often suffers from writer's block. She's unwell at the moment (she had a stroke that affected her brain) and I'm not sure whether she will ever recover sufficiently for her to be able to write again,but I'm going to tell her about your post in order to motivate her. She picks up a whole lot of energy whenever we discuss her getting back to writing again.

She's unwell at the moment (she had a stroke that affected her brain) and I'm not sure whether she will ever recover sufficiently for her to be able to write again,but I'm going to tell her about your post in order to motivate her.
