LOA and Simplicity?

Okay so I've read both The Secret and The Power and although I've gotten some AMAZING and EYE-OPENING tips and all, I still find this whole LOA thing very complicated.

I was just wondering if there's a simple process to attract something or whatever. I understand how it works, just not so much how to put it into practice. (Attracting money, people, places, cars, etc.)

For example, if I wanted to write a novel and have it be a very successful and popular book, how would I go about that, as far as imagining the success and feeling the wealth and abundance and all?

Another example, if I wanted to get into a particular college or something, how would I go about doing that?

Any help would be greatly appreciated on this one :)

  • The long and short of it is, there is no one particular way. Something to keep in mind about the secret is that it is not a complete resource on the Law of Attraction. The ask-believe-receive model tends to be misinterpreted.

To give you an example, if you want to write a novel and have it be popular (I'm a published author myself) you definitely want to have a vision of the completed book. Try to imagine the book cover, the title, your name in print, etc. Imagine the characters coming to life in people's minds, and how great it would feel. Imagine yourself getting flows of inspiration. That's just the beginning though. Everything starts with a vision but then you must do your part to bring it into reality. Inspired action is extremely important and it is an area that a lot of people fall short in.

When you begin visualizing and allowing yourself to believe (that may mean working past self doubt and fear first, which can take some time), you will find inspiration coming at you. Follow that inspiration as that is the key to what it is that you want. Also, be realistic. In the case of a novel, know that it will probably be a couple of years before it sees print. LOA works through the normal laws of our world, it doesn't make up its own. Also, writing is 90% marketing, so you may find yourself being immersed and bombarded with marketing strategies. Don't question it, follow it. It's useful.

That's just an example. Remember, LOA is not new, it has always existed and you have always used it. The difference is, you are now using it purposefully, but the method is still the same. You have to know what you want (this is inescapable, if you don't know what you want, you will get mixed results) and be ready and willing to go for it, following your inspiration and being willing to take a few risks.
