You Ship Is Always Coming In

There's an expression in the physical environment that you use to entertain each other. (it doesn't serve you very well) that says, "I worry that I'll go down to the dock, and that my ship will have already come and gone. I'll miss my boat." And we say, another boat, another boat, another boat. You have no idea how many boats are coming to your dock. It's a steady stream, and it doesn't matter how many of them you've missed. The only thing that matters is what are you doing right now in your vibration? And you can tell what you're doing right now in your vibration by the way you feel. Abraham-Hicks

  • I, too, love this quote, Marcy! I sometimes struggle with the thought that "if I don't stay guarded, then they'll use me and I won't know it until after it's happened". Back and forth I go with this thought, especially in my work environment. And, it really kicks my butt sometimes... because I start giving all this energy to "grab it first because this may be your last chance" kinda thing. Which leads me to an awareness of how truly competitive I can be.

With this quote and others like it... "there's always enough to go around"... I am re-minded how to turn downstream. My boss mentioned to me, last week, when we were discussing how I always challenge new ideas from others... he said, "what would your life be like if you just said... ok". Wow. That smacked me right between the eyes! In a very sorta perfect way. This "constant guard up" thing is upstream... it feels upstream, and I feel tired as a result of it.

So, waiting for the next boat and vibrating the feeling of complete satisfaction... starting my day with the thought, "Your ship is ALWAYS coming in."

    Thanks again, Marcy! Namaste :)
