Your comments about Om Namah Shivaya were especially inspiring.
At SYDA Yoga ashrams, Gurumayi Chidvilasananda would guide us in long melodic chants of Om Namah Shivaya. And it truly was a luxurious and uplifting experience. Well, the ashrams drip of luxury and her presence is uplifting in itself.
How silly, though, but it never crossed my mind that the mantra itself might be a source of this sense of uplifting luxury.

My experience there was pretty limited, but I really learned a lot. I will practice this chant with a special intentionality, now.
